About the Author

I'm not a doctor; I'm not even in the medical profession, but I am just like a lot of you. I've spent much of my life dealing with pain, headache, nausea, fatigue, insomnia and a host of other problems. In fact, about a decade ago I was nearly dead. Thankfully, I had the great good fortune to find an amazing doctor and it was then I learned that much of my ill health revolved around digestion. Prior to that almost every symptom I had was attributed to migraines and, as a result, I went through a number of years addicted to prescription pain killers that I supplemented with over-the-counter medication and washed down with liquid Nyquil. My experience has prompted me to write a number of short books that I hope will help and inform so that you don't have to suffer as I did or live as carefully as I now do. I avoid grains (not just wheat), caffeine, sugars and dairy. When I'm out in public I routinely carry a face mask, epi pen and bronchodilator as I'm so intolerant of so many substances. Pain and headaches are still a part of my daily life. The good news is life is way better than it was, and with proper attention to diet and alternative medical practices, continues to improve.
